SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

St Thomas Crookes has a passion to encourage disciples to get involved and think about theology, believing passionately that theology belongs in the heart of the church and should be open to all, not just the academic few.

The School of Theology offers an opportunity to engage with theology in a down to earth and relevant way. We are partnering with St Paul’s Theological Centre, London (based at Holy Trinity Brompton) to make theology as relevant and as accessible as possible, and to bring to Sheffield some of the most engaging speakers around.

This will happen through a combination of live speakers (both from the staff team of SPTC, and other guests) and DVD presentations filmed at Holy Trinity Brompton.

Each time we meet, there will be two different tracks running alongside each other. Participants choose one of the two, and stay with this track throughout the year. We always begin with worship together, and then divide into the two tracks for the rest of the morning. Each morning has a presentation from a speaker, a coffee break, and then small group discussion.
