We were delighted with the success of the 2009-10 School of Theology and we are so looking forward to next year. It has been great to have people travel to Sheffield from Huddersfield, Rotherham, Hull and further afield. It has been encouraging to us to see that God is using the School of Theology to bless so many different churches.
Finally, our aim is to make theology as exciting and as accessible as possible. This next year (2010-11) will have a brand new Bible Track (please see list of topics on pages 8 & 9), the Faith track and a brand new pilot Ethics Module. It is our hope that in 2011 we will be able to offer an accredited Certificate in Theology validated by Middlesex University and delivered from St Mellitus/SPTC in London. Watch this space and we will update you throughout the year with more information.
Finally, our aim is to make theology as exciting and as accessible as possible, so that we might not only learn new things, but also have our hearts touched by the Holy Spirit. As we study the Bible we hope to love Jesus more and put the bible into practice wherever we are.

What is School of Theology?
St Thomas Crookes has a passion to encourage disciples to get involved and think about theology, believing passionately that theology belongs in the heart of the church and should be open to all, not just the academic few.
The School of Theology offers an opportunity to engage with theology in a down to earth and relevant way. We are partnering with St Paul’s Theological Centre, London (based at Holy Trinity Brompton) to make theology as relevant and as accessible as possible, and to bring to Sheffield some of the most engaging speakers around.
This will happen through a combination of live speakers (both from the staff team of SPTC, and other guests) and DVD presentations filmed at Holy Trinity Brompton.
Each time we meet, there will be two different tracks running alongside each other. Participants choose one of the two, and stay with this track throughout the year. We always begin with worship together, and then divide into the two tracks for the rest of the morning. Each morning has a presentation from a speaker, a coffee break, and then small group discussion.
