School of Theology returns with style this New Year with internationally known speakers and a £5 special deal.

We have 2 live speakers within our normal 3 tracks – Matt Wilson (National Director of the Eden Network) & Chris Tilling (New Testament Studies Tutor at St Paul’s Theological Centre). But not only that, Dr Elaine Storkey (President of Tearfund) will be teaching a Mission Module!

A one time special deal of only £5 for any of our 3 tracks (Bible, Faith & Life) is on offer, so you can afford to pay for a friend too!

Life Track – ‘God in a World of Pain’ by Revd Dr Mike Lloyd, Tutor in Theology at St Paul’s Theological Centre (SPTC).

Faith Track – ‘Incarnation’ by Dr Jane Williams, lecturer at SPTC & wife of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Bible Track – ‘What is Wisdom Literature?’ by Revd Dr Graham Tomlin, Dean of St Mellitus College and Principal of SPTC.

This date is also the deadline for signing up for the Mission Module, which will be taught over two Saturdays within School of Theology. We are delighted to announce that Dr Elaine Storkey, president of Tearfund & regular broadcaster for programmes on the BBC, will be teaching this module.

The first SoT Express of the year saw more than 170 people gather last Wednesday evening! There was a great buzz as you entered the church. The DVD presentation was excellent & afterwards there was plenty of time and space for discussion. If you were not there you were missing out! The next session is on November 23rd, starting at 7.30pm. See you there!

We had 100 people in the building & Stephen Backhouse’s session on Christianity & Politics was excellent! The next session is on 19^th November – don’t miss out!

This Saturday we have Dr Stephen Backhouse coming to speak on ‘Christianity & Politics’. We also have 2 DVD presentations; Dr Jeremy Duff is looking at ‘The Gospels’ and Revd Dr Mike Lloyd is looking at ‘Sin, Fall & Evil’. With more than 100 people gathering to have their hearts & minds transformed by the Word of God, why not join us?!

On Saturday over 100 people gathered in St Toms Crookes for the first SoT of the year! It was a great morning of teaching & discussions in all 3 of the tracks.
