
Canon Mark Russell is CEO of Church Army. In this role he leads a society of over 300 full time evangelists and is an advocate for evangelism in the wider church. He is a sought after conference speaker and a natural evangelist who has led evangelistic missions in many countries around the world.
Revd Dr Graham Tomlin is the Principal of St Paul’s Theological Centre, and Dean of St Mellitus College, of which SPTC is a constituent member. Having previously been vice principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, Graham is author of several books in the history of Theology and contemporary Mission including: The Power of the Cross: Theology and the Death of Christ in Paul, and The Provocative Church.
Dr Jane Williams is a lecturer at St Paul’s Theological Centre. She is a visiting lecturer at King’s College London, having previously taught at Trinity College, Bristol. She has an honorary doctorate from Yale University and is the author of a number of books including Approaching Christmas, Perfect Freedom, Who do you say I am? and Angels.
Revd Dr Mike Lloyd is a lecturer at SPTC. He was a College Chaplain at both Christ’s and Fitzwilliam Colleges in Cambridge. He then moved to London to become Director of Training at St.James the Less in Pimlico, before returning to Oxford to teach doctrine at St Stephen’s House in Oxford. He is the author of the ever popular Café Theology.
Andy Emerton is the Director of SPTC. He studied in York, Oxford and Cambridge, has degrees in Maths and Theology as well as a doctorate in Theoretical Physics from Oxford University. Before training for ordination at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, Andy worked for several years as a youth worker at a large church in Guildford.
Rt Revd Dr Steven Croft is the seventh Bishop of Sheffield. He studied classics at Oxford and has a PhD from Durham University. He was the Archbishops’ Missioner and Team Leader of Fresh Expressions, and has written 22 books.
Chris Tilling is tutor in New Testament Studies and teaches across the whole of St Mellitus College. Chris studied at St Andrew’s University and London School of Theology and is finishing off a doctorate under Max Turner in Pauline Christology. He has written several articles on aspects of New Testament studies, and has translated many others from German into English.
Rt Revd Dr Tom Wright is one of today’s best known and respected New Testament scholars. He studied for the ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. From 1978 to 1981 he was Fellow and Chaplain at Downing College, Cambridge. In 1986, he moved to Oxford as a University Lecturer in New Testament. Tom has written over thirty books, both at the scholarly level and for a popular audience.
Revd Dr Jeremy Duff is Director of Lifelong Learning in Liverpool Diocese and recently was appointed the Dwelly-Raven Canon of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. He has a wealth of teaching experience from his previous posts in Oxford University, Wycliffe Hall, and Liverpool Hope University, and is now involved in education and strategy more broadly within the Church. He has recently published ‘The Elements of New Testament Greek’ and ‘Meeting Jesus’.
Revd Canon Mick Woodhead is Team Rector at St Thomas Crookes and his primary role is to build up and encourage the church to seek first the Kingdom.
Dr Stephen Backhouse is tutor for social and political thinking at St Paul’s theological centre in London. Stephen studied at Oxford University and has written ‘The Compact Guide To Christian History’.
Matt Wilson is the National Director of the Eden Network and oversees the growth and development of Eden. He has been part of the Eden movement since its inception. Married to Grace, they live in London.
